LA Splash Lip Couture | Bare It All Bundle | Review, Swatches + Dupes | SwordBeauty

With National Nude Day on July 14th and the return of LA Splash Cosmetics online, they released a nude bundle of their Lip Couture Waterproof Liquid Lipsticks. First off, congrats to LA Splash for coming back after such a terrible accident. I could not scroll by this set no matter how many nude liquid lipsticks I own, I just couldn’t.

The Bare It All Bundle ($60) includes five of the Lip Couture Liquid Lipsticks. ‘OG Ghoulish’, ‘Ghoulish’, ‘Innocent Vixen’, ‘Latte Confession’ and a new shade, ‘Cryptic’. You will be getting each Lip Couture for $12, which saves you $2 each if you were to buy them all separately.

The packaging of the Lip Couture Liquid Lipsticks is very similar to most liquid lipsticks. A clear tube with gold detailing and a gold cap. With 0.10 oz of product, the tube itself is smaller than an ABH Liquid Lipstick (0.11 oz) and larger than a LimeCrime Velvetine (0.088 oz). I really like its doe foot applicator, which is longer and thinner than the typical doe foot. It holds just enough product for my lips.

The formula is perfectly in between water-y and creamy. They are very lightweight and extremely waterproof when they are set. When the product is set, it doesn’t dry down completely, which I think will help those who like the matte lipstick look but have lips that are too prone to drying. Because I like liquid lipsticks to dry down completely, the product is less comfortable to wear in my opinion (less comfortable than ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip and Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, but more comfortable than ABH Liquid Lipstick and LA Girl Flat Pigment Gloss). The very slight stickiness left over does not affect the staying power of the product at all. They all wear for around 7-9 hours before fading and they do not have that drying feeling at the last couple of hours of wear like other liquid lipsticks.

I was worried about the scent of these because of other reviews but it really does not bother me. It was a strong chemical scent the first time I applied it but every time I’ve used it after, I didn’t even notice the smell.

The application process is easy because the colors go on very evenly. Some shades need a second layer but it doesn’t cause the product to flake or make it hard to wear. The removal process is a little more difficult, I take these off by applying cleansing oil on a towelette and putting that only my lips. After a couple seconds, the product should start to break down and it should come off with gentle wipes across your lips. Try not to tug and rub to get these off, you’ll just damage your skin.

The Lip Coutures sell individually for $14 each (I believe there’s been a price jump from $11.98). For that price, I would say these are very worth it if you want something that doesn’t budge. The shade range includes nineteen permanent shades that are a good mix of average and daring (the swatches on the website are slightly off so I would recommend finding swatches online) .

I think people who find most liquid lipsticks too drying to wear may like Lip Coutures a lot more. If you want something that is budge-proof and lasts for hours, you are going to love these. LA Splash Lip Couture Waterproof Liquid Lipsticks and the Bare It All Bundle can be purchased on their website and I believe they are in Ricky’s stores as well.

I pulled a couple liquid lipsticks for quick comparison and dupe shots. I'll most likely continue adding and editing this when I find more dupes! Let me know what you guys think!
