Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators | Riviera & Peach Nectar | Review + Swatches | SwordBeauty

Anastasia Beverly Hills recently released a new line of highlighters and I finally got a chance to try and test them. After seeing photo after photo on Instagram, I was almost jumping out of my seat on release day. With the ABH site not being able to handle the release of the Illuminators, Macy's was the first to release the line, which is when I bought 'Riviera' and 'Peach Nectar'.

Anastasia Beverly Hills describes the Illuminators simply with one sentence, "Like a filter for your complexion, this brush-on highlighter contains a mosaic of brightening powders that impart a lit-from-within glow." 'Riviera' is described as a rose gold and 'Peach Nectar' is described as an apricot gold.

The packaging is simple, a plastic black compact with the ABH logo in the center in gold. The diameter of the compact is the same as the highlighters from Becca Cosmetics and the ABH ones are larger in height. Each Illuminator comes with 0.32 oz of product (Becca Skin Perfectors have 0.28 oz of product). They are $28 each and the set also released with a highlighting brush, #23, which retails for $25.

'Riviera' is the top shade, 'Peach Nectar' is the bottom one.

The formula of the Illuminators is so so nice. The are creamy and soft, I was actually surprised when I first swatched them with my finger. They are extremely pigmented and wear on me for hours. I don't find that them emphasize my pores or skin texture. The design pressed onto the powder is absolutely gorgeous and Norvina says the design helps with your brush when picking up the product. I also saw that she suggested applying them with a wet brush, which I have been doing since I got them and I have been loving how they look.

With 'Riviera' and 'Peach Nectar', many people have been raving that they are a great for laying on top of blush or as blush. I think 'Peach Nectar' looks great on my skin as a highlighter, (I am around an NC35 right now) when applied with a light hand and would look great on top of blush. 'Riviera' is the shade i have to be careful with, it is absolutely beautiful when applied lightly, but just a smidge too much and I can look very greasy. I think 'Riviera would be a great pink/rose-y highlight on others without my skin type.

Even as someone who isn't the biggest fan of most highlighters, I have been loving applying and testing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators. They wear extremely well on my oily skin and they really do brighten up my skin. I have been loving packing them on the inner corners of the eyes as well. I don't have a shade like these two in my collection, and I've been reaching for them a lot more than any other highlighters I own, so this is a win for me.

Have you guys purchased the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators? How are you liking them?
