My first yearly round-up! First of all, thank you for the amazing year (well half of a year but you get it), I am so grateful for those who have read my blog posts. Starting SB was something I wanted to do for so long and it finally happened so without further ado, my top 15 of 2015!!
-BCL Ex Water Eyebrow Lash in ‘Gray Brown’ ($13-$16)- It’s no surprise that my holy grail eyebrow product is Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow but this double sided pen is right behind it. This shade in particular is perfect for those with black hair (they have a few other shades as well). I use the pen tip liquid side with ABH’s Dip Brow for some perfect lines and the pencil side for very sculpted natural brows. [Available for purchase on Amazon]
-ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip Liquid Lipstick (0.11oz, $6) - the liquid lipstick line that stole my heart. Read my full review! I prefer a super flat matte lip and these are perfect for me, almost all the shades I own set and feel like they aren't there. They have my favorite liquid lip formula this year. My go-to shades are 'Tulle', 'Lax' and 'Kapow'. [Available for purchase on ColourPop]
-Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick (0.19oz, $18) - the most comfortable, non-drying liquid lipstick formula that I've tried. Jeffree Star is the best matte liquid lipstick choice for those with dry lips, in my opinion. My favorite shades are 'Posh Spice' and 'Dominatrix' [Available for purchase on Beautylish and Jeffree Star Cosmetics]
-Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick (0.22oz, $20) - 'Lolita' and 'Bow N Arrow' are literally everything to me. While slightly drying and a little pricey, I just cannot do without those two shades. [Available for purchase on Sephora and Kat Von D Beauty]
-LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealers (0.25oz, $2.45-5) - My eyebrows thank you. Perfect brow clean up product for a perfect price. Also great for contouring and highlighting with the shades lighter and darker than your skin tone. [Available for purchase on LA Girl and iKateHouse]
-Makeup Forever Artist Eyeshadows (0.07oz, $21) - By far the best eyeshadow formula I tried this year. Not the biggest eyeshadow fan in my everyday makeup but their new formula is beautiful and comes in so many different shades. I would recommend purchasing their palettes as they are worth the money and much cheaper than buying individual pans at that price point. [Available for purchase on Sephora]
-Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight Creamy Glow and Candlelight Celestial Powder (0.16oz, $28 / 0.11oz, $44)- The “soft”-est highlighters I own, in the best way. Amazing for my combo skin, both hint toward a glow rather than a greasy-look. They are both beautiful and different than anything I purchased in 2015. [Both are available for purchase on Sephora]
-Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer (0.16oz, $28)- Blends easily and covers up blemishes. Feels super lightweight and looks natural. [Available for purchase on Sephora]
-Lit Cosmetic Glitters (0.14oz, $13-14) - Choices in size and finish and a super informative website, perfect for a pop in my regular routine. My favorites include 'Northern Lights' and 'Vitamin C'. [Available for purchase on Lit Cosmetics and Beautylish]
-Etude House Play 101 Pencils (0.02oz, $7.80) - Multitasking pencils for all over the face (blush, lips, contour, concealer, eyes, brows) practically transfer proof after they are set, my favorite Korean beauty product this year. I will never stop raving about '#05'! [Available for purchase on Etude House]
-MAC Lip Pencils (0.05oz, $16.50) - Hard to believe I wasn’t a big lipliner person until 2015, I fell in love with MAC’s and ended up using most of them as long lasting lip colors all over the lips. My favorites include 'Soar', 'Boldly Bare', 'Chicory', 'Vino' and 'Bittersweet'. [Available for purchase on MAC's website]
-Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Intensive (150 ml, $40-49) - I tested a whole bunch of cleansers in 2015 and the only thing to keep my skin in check was this essence. Perfect first step moisturizer to use day and night, it's hard to describe how great this water-y product is. With continued use, I saw softer, brighter and more even skin. [Available for purchase on W2Beauty, SoKoGlam and Amazon]
-Benton Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream (50g, $12)- The moisturizer of the year for me. My combo skin breaks out super easily with the wrong moisturizer and gel types were not strong enough to combat dry patches. This soaks into the skin quickly and I find that it leaves a slightly matte finish while completely hydrating my face. [Available for purchase on Memebox and Amazon]
-Hydrogel Masks - Gel type masks that are packed with more benefits and hydration than your everyday cotton or paper sheet mask. Slightly more expensive than your typical mask, but so worth it for the soft, glowing, baby skin result. I like Memebox's Meme Mask and The Face Shop's Hydro Gel Mask Sheets ($3).
Happy New Year! I hope 2016 is another amazing year!
