Dose Of Colors Liquid Matte Lipstick | Review, Swatches + Dupes | SwordBeauty

I’ve always wanted to try the liquid lipsticks from Dose of Colors but the shades I was interested in were always sold out (I'm looking at you Sand and Stone!). With the release of four new shades, I was able to get my hands on two of them, 'Cork' and ‘Mood’!

The liquid matte lipsticks are packaged in a frosted matte cylindrical tube. There is metal detailing and a white cap. The doe-foot is slightly dipped to fit the shape of the lips. The size and shape of the packaging is almost identical to the Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks (the JS liquid lipsticks come with more product). The product comes with 0.16 oz and is priced at $18 each.

The formula sets down matte but does not dry down completely. It is almost completely transfer proof, light touching is fine but rubbing can transfer some product. There is a vanilla scent but it is not very strong. The consistency of the lipstick is on the thick side and the drying time is longer than most of the liquid lipsticks I own. It took over 2 minutes for a single layer to dry, it’s around 3 to 4 minutes if I apply a thicker layer.

The wear is extremely comfortable and long lasting. I don’t find it to be drying at all even after hours of wear. Reapplication is easy and it doesn't look or feel too thicker with two layers. Normally, I have issues with thicker formulas like this with bleeding on the lip line after a couple hours but Dose of Colors was perfectly fine. The wear and formula reminds me of the Coloured Raine liquid lipsticks but I can say that I prefer the Dose of Colors formula.

I am loving the formula on these liquid matte lipsticks. 'Cork' is very unique and I have been wearing it very often, I included dupes from ColourPop's new Ultra Satin Lip collection. They are moving up on my list of favorite formulas! All Dose of Colors Liquid Matte Lipsticks are sold on their website! Have you guys tried the Dose of Colors lipsticks? What do you think?
